First and foremost, THANK YOU for participating in the 2018 Light the Way 5K! We’re looking forward to having a fun and festive run through Dollywood! We wanted to give you some final race instructions prior to the night to help make the race experience an incredible one.
Accommodations: Don't live in the East Tennessee area? Stay at Dollywood's beautiful resort for a specially-priced rate: Dreammore Resort. Please mention that you are a participant when booking; call (866) 857-2123. There is NO PACKET PICK UP at Dreammore Resort.
Registration / Packet Pickup
We have three registration time at two locations to make packet pickup easy and convenient for our participants!
The first packet pickup will be announced.
On Thursday and Friday packets can be picked up from 2 pm - 7 pm at Dollywood's Splash Country at the ticket booths. Hours are noon – 7 pm on Thursday and 11 am – 10 pm on Friday. Registration will close promptly at 10 pm on Friday, and there will be NO registration at Dollywood’s Front Gate prior to the race.
Parking. All 5K runners and spectators may enter the parking lot at no charge after 8 p.m.; prior to that time, the standard Dollywood parking fee will apply. If you are coming to drop someone off and/or pick up, please be advised that access to portions of the parking lot will be limited once the race begins for the safety of the runners.
Timing. The timing will be real time and will have scrolling, instant results at the finish line. Your timing chip will be in your bib – so please wear your bib on your outermost clothing on the front and center of your chest. All results will be posted on www.sceniccitymultisportllc.com/events.
The Course. The course will take runners through the parking lot and then into the Dollywood theme park. During the Light The Way 5K, runners and walkers will be guided by more than four million lights and the melodies of holiday music. There will be many volunteers throughout the course helping with directions, and the course will be clearly marked. Please note: runners may not push strollers and pets are not permitted. The race start is going to be staggered/in waves and also all runners will go first and then the walkers.
Awards & Door Prizes. The awards ceremony will begin immediately following the end of the race in the Showstreet Palace Theater. Age divisional awards (also three deep) will prizes. Age awards are 13 and under, 14-19 and then five-year increments up to age 70 (the last age is 70 and up). 2018 LTW Christmas Ornaments - Age Group Prizes (3 Deep), Season Passes - Overall Race Winners (Male and Female), 2nd Place - Two 1-Day Tickets, 3rd Place - One 1-Day Ticket.
